Sarah
Weddington is a Texas born and nationally known advocate of women's issues.
She has affected women through her roles as attorney, legislator, Presidential
assistant, professor and lecturer. In 1973, she successfully argued the
winning side of the landmark Roe v. Wade abortion rights case before the
U.S. Supreme Court and authored the best-seller A QUESTION
OF CHOICE. Recently she has been
advocating the development of women's leadership skills. Currently the
Bush administration is laying the groundwork for a repeal of Roe v. Wade.
Once again Sarah Weddington is prepared to take the pro-choice stand with
her motto “reproductive freedom is not free”. Don't miss a word from
this remarkable defender of women's rights. |
