 Born
in a small Puerto Rican town, Antonia was a sickly child who needed colon
surgery, but never received it until her late teens. She would rise in
the medical world like a phoenix from the ashes to become the first female
Surgeon General of the United States. Dr. Novello speaks with passion.
She is an advocate of children's health, bringing to forefront the issue
of Pediatric Aids, and obesity as a great risk to the young. She has devoted
her life to a career of service in public health and is truly inspirational
and mesmerizing to all who hear her talk. “If you can dream it – you can
